Man killed in front of wife

CEBU, Philippines - A man was stabbed dead the other night in front of his wife during a benefit dance in sitio Kaluhihan, barangay Marigondon in Lapu-Lapu City.

Wilard Andales Igot, 26, married, did not reach the hospital alive.

SPO1 Allan Pantaleon said just as Igot and his wife entered the place where a benefit dance was being held, a certain Julius Espinosa Gecolcol alias "Janjan," of legal age, and allegedly a neighbor of the couple, approached Igot and stabbed him on the chest.

Relatives took Igot to the Mactan Doctors' Hospital where he was declared dead.

Police couldn't find Gecolcol.

Igot's wife said her husband had no known enemies.  (FREEMAN)
