Robber shoots, misses policeman
CEBU, Philippines - A policeman who attempted to arrest three men who had just robbed a woman yesterday dawn in barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City was fired at but was not hit.
Investigators SPO1 Mikie Espina, PO1 Stephen Sefuesca, and PO1 Edwin Campomanes said Rochelle Dadula, 37, was waiting for a ride home when three men on a motorcycle stopped in front of her.
One of the men aimed a gun at Dadula and grabbed her bag containing P1,300 and a claim stab for her Comelec identification card.
SPO1 Esperidion Blancia, who was in the area as it happened, was shot at as he drew near the robbers, the bullet missing its intended target.
Instead, it hit the left leg of tricycle driver Rodolfo Teves, 58, who was passing by.
Blancia fired back at the robbers but missed, too. (FREEMAN)
