3 men rob American
CEBU, Philippines - Three men broke into an American’s apartment in Santa Catalina Subdivision in sitio Ilang-ilang, barangay Lagtang, Talisay City, struck him on the face, gagged him, and bound his hands and feet, before fleeing with cash and valuables.
When Mercilinda Go found her neighbor Robert Lero, 70, single, on the floor bound and gagged, she called the police.
SPO1 Mikie Espina, SPO1 Rolando Bastida, PO3 Benedicto Lasque, PO1 Erwin Denila and PO1 Ranulfo Villaver went to Lero’s home and there learned that the robbery was captured by CCTV.
Lero had installed a CCTV camera in his apartment.
Footages also showed how one of the robbers struck Lero on the face.
Police said a neighbor saw men climbing over the wall of Lero’s apartment but he didn’t know what they were up to. (FREEMAN)
