Work at Marcelo Fernan bridge to start Monday
Cebu, Philippines -The repair of the Marcelo Fernan Bridge will start on Monday.
During yesterday’s press conference, DPWH Sixth Engineering District assistant engineer Renault Ricardo said that asphalt overlay of the Mandaue Mactan Bridge is finished but will wait until Monday to start work at the Marcelo Fernan Bridge so as not to inconvenience participants of an international conference in Cebu City.
The 27th Confederation of Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commenced yesterday in Cebu City and will end today.
DPWH has set aside P27 million for the asphalt and two expansion joints of the Marcelo Fernan Bridge.
Starting Monday, one lane of the Marcelo Fernan Bridge going to Mandaue City will be closed to traffic from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (FREEMAN)
