Police preparing for Talisay Landing, Holy Week
CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City Police Station is preparing for the commemoration of the “68th Takas sa Talisay†or “Talisay Landing†on March 26.
Superintendent Elmer Lim, officer-in-charge of TCPS, said the police, local government unit and other stake holders often meet to discuss the preparations for the celebration.
It is expected that police and AFP officials of the province, Congressman Eduardo Gullas of first district, and some leaders of other local government units will attend the celebration, which is dedicated to the veterans who sacrificed their lives during the World War II.
The police are also preparing for the observation of the Holy Week and opening of the campaign period for local candidates which falls on March 29, Good Friday.
The holy week starts on March 25. (FREEMAN)
