Aboitiz to build more classrooms in Lapu-Lapu

CEBU, Philippines - Aboitiz Foundation Incorporated executive vice president and managing trustee Augusto P.I. Carpio III, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza City, and School Division Superintendent Eduardo Ompad signed a memorandum of agreement for the construction of a two-story six-classroom building for Babag National High School.

Radaza said the city, with its limited funds and unlimited priorities, cannot meet all the needs of the people especially in the implementation of programs related to education.

Radaza thanked the Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. for helping in providing quality education to children.

"I hope that others who are also doing business here in the city of Lapu-Lapu will emulate the good deeds of the Aboitiz Foundation," Radaza said.

Carpio said the foundation will continue its support to the city government of Lapu-Lapu.

Ompad said every year his office is faced with the lack of classrooms.  (FREEMAN)
