Talisay Comelec to test PCOS transmission

Garry B. Lao - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City Comelec officer Corazon Moran yesterday said a field transmission test will be conducted next week as soon as the training of all Board of Election Inspectors assigned in the city is finished.

Some BEIs to be trained at VillaTeresita are teachers from the Department of Education.

The training will only be held for a day but the teachers will be given the whole night to familiarize themselves with PCOS machines, which will be tested the following day by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) accreditors.

“We will conduct it next week,” Moran said.

She said the workability of the machines in certain sites will be verified and determine possible operational glitches or problems that might come up during the elections.
