Police uproot 249 marijuana plants

CEBU, Philippines - Police uprooted Tuesday morning about 249 marijuana plants in barangay Sibacan, Danao City.

They were on their way to serve an arrest warrant for rape to Ireneo Lawas when they saw in plain view the marijuana plants.

The warrant was signed by Judge Jerry Dicdican, Branch 25, Regional Trial Court in Danao City.

Police failed to arrest Lawas.

Pieces of evidence were taken to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory-7 in Camp Sotero Cabahug for analysis.

“Wala nay manug-an kay ang mga tao nagdinaganay pag-abot sa pulis,” the police said. (FREEMAN)
