In view of bridge repair: Traffic body told to create new traffic scheme for PUJs
CEBU, Philippines - Mayor Jonas Cortes has urged the Traffic Enforcement Agency in Mandaue (TEAM) to create a new traffic plan for jeepneys that will be affected by the rehabilitation of the Mandaue Mactan Bridge which will start on Feb. 25.
The Mactan-Cebu Bridge Management Board (MCBMB) headed by acting Gov. Agnes Magpale has approved the proposed date and project plan including the traffic scheme presented by the DPWH during a meeting held last February 13.
Engineer Eda De Guzman, project engineer of DPWH presented the matter to Magpale.
The DPWH has also sent plans for the repair to the Mandaue City government.
The notice sent by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) would give the city time to inform the TEAM office, City Engineering Office, and other offices about the rehabilitation. (FREEMAN)
