Boy, 4, dies in road accident

CEBU, Philippines - A four-year-old boy died Monday evening in N. Bacalaso Avenue, barangay Bulacao, Talisay City while four others were injured when the pedicab they were travelling in was hit by a motorized vehicle that drove off.

The boy was identified as Niño Gondino while the injured were the boy’s father Ronnie, 44, his mother Elvira, sisters Erica Mae, 7, and one-year-old Faith, all of Upper Inayawan, Cebu City.

PO1 Rosauro Pasumala on Talisay City Traffic Division said that based on the investigation of SPO2 Elmer Saladas, the boy’s father was driving the pedicab when the accident occurred.

The unidentified black vehicle was also travelling in same direction.

Due to the impact, the boy was throw off the pedicab.

The motorized vehicle continued on its way.

The driver of the San Fernando town ambulance that passed by the area picked up the victims and took them to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

The boy died on the way. (FREEMAN)
