Guard “kills” carpenter

CEBU, Philippines - A carpenter was shot dead by a security guard while quarreling at the QM Builders Compound, Pleasant Homes Subdivision, barangay Punta, Cebu City.

Jose Zulueta, 36, of Tubod, barangay Dugo-an, Dumanjug was shot by security guard Rafael Rondina, 41.

Police said Zulueta and Rondina arrived at the compound allegedly under the influence of liquor.

A few minutes later, both were heard arguing.

Zulueta reportedly kicked Rondina’s abdomen.                 Rodina retaliated by shooting Zulueta with a .38 revolver.

Zulueta was taken to the Adventist Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police found two empty shells of a .38 revolver. (FREEMAN)
