Lone district bill for Mandaue tops Soon-Ruiz’s priority list

CEBU, Philippines - Former congresswoman Nerissa Soon-Ruiz has promised to make Mandaue City a lone congressional district once she gets elected.

“Nasayod ako nga kaniadto pa ang mga Mandauehanon nangandoy nga mahimo na unta nga lone congressional district and Mandaue”, Soon-Ruiz said.

The former solon said incumbent sixth district Congressman Luis Quisumbing failed to introduce a bill that would make the city a lone congressional district.

She said that once the city becomes a lone congressional district, it will get a share from the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) every year.

“Ma-focus na gayud sa Mandaue ang pagpatuman sa projects ginamit ang PDAF unya sa congressman,” she said.
