Talisay top cop warns his men about firing guns
CEBU, Philippines - After New Year’s Day, Talisay City Police Station chief Supt. Eddie Recamara will inspect police service firearms of his personnel to find out whether if they had fired their guns on New Year’s Day.
Recamara promised a peaceful and safe celebration to welcome the New Year despite the sealing of firearms of all police officers.
Recamara said his men can be effective with or without firearms.
He said any responsible and disciplined police personnel would never think of firing his gun to welcome the New Year.
Gun taping is a preventive measure, Recamara said. Although no incident involving police officers illegally discharging his firearms during the holidays have been reported, Recamara still urges the public to inform his office about policemen firing their guns indiscriminately. (FREEMAN)
