Talisay dad lauds athletes for winning medals at CVRAA

CEBU, Philippines -  Talisay City Councilor Dennis B. Basillote, in a proposed resolution, commends the Department of Education School Division for winning three gold medals in the recent Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVRAA). 

In a Proposed Resolution No. 2012-42-4, Basillote, who is the chairman of the committee on education, said that despite typhoon Pablo hitting Dumaguete City, the athletes from Talisay brought home gold medals. 

“It is appropriate for the City of Talisay to acknowledge and recognize the ability of our young Talisaynons. Their achievements do not only bring honor and fame to the city but also worthy of praise and recognition,” Basillote said.

The CVRAA is an annual sports meet conducted by the Department of Education in Central Visayas.

The meet was held in Dumaguete City from December 2 to 8. (FREEMAN)
