NHA-7 tells Lapu-Lapu to comply with requisites

Jose P. Sollano - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  The regional office of the National Housing Authority in Central Visayas has urged the Lapu-Lapu City government to comply with the requirements needed for the implementation of the Sudtongan Resettlement Project in barangay Basak.

NHA-7 project manager Gavino Figuracion, in a letter to City Mayor Paz Radaza a copy of which was made available to The Freeman, said the project is a project of the NHA and the city government, which involves the 10,816-square meter property in sitio Sudtongan, barangay Basak intended for families affected by the construction of the Hoops Dome in barangay Gun-ob.

A number of families were affected when the city government constructed the multi-million HoopsDome in Barangay Gun-ob which is now the venue of all the local, national and international sports activities.

Hoops Dome accommodate more than 15,000 people.

Figuracion has asked the city government to inform his office about the status of the documentary requirements needed in the packaging of the project.

He cited the Certified True Copies of the Transfer Certificate of Title to be certified by the City Assessor’s Office and Certified Copies of the Tax Declaration.

He also informed Mayor Radaza that his office also needs the city council’s resolution authorizing her to allocate funds from the local government annual budget for loan repayment.

Another requirement sought by Figuracion is the schedule of remittances duly signed by the city mayor, track record of the city government showing proof of capability to undertake the project by administration and the corresponding evaluation and assessment by its office.  (FREEMAN)
