Congressional candidate vows to improve Lapu-Lapu hospitals

CEBU, Philippines -Lone District of Lapu-Lapu congressional aspirant Bo Oyao yesterday said he would prioritize the improvement of health services in the city by aiding hospitals.

In a statement furnished The Freeman, Oyao said the city-owned hospital in the mainland and in Olango Island should be given immediate attention.

Oyao said the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital needs upgrading of facilities. Santa Rosa Community Hospital in Olango Island also needs improvement.

At present, Oyao said people seeking treatment at the city hospital and in Olango Island have to be transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

“Nakita nato nga dako kaayo ang kahasol sa atong mga kaigsoonan kun sila madala adto na sa Vicente Sotto Hospital” said Oyao.

Oyao is the incumbent captain of barangay Agus.

Oyao said he also has other plans and programs and will announce these to the people at the proper time.

Oyao will face Aileen Radaza, daughter of Rep. Arturo Radaza, in the election.

Rep. Radaza will not seek reelection due to poor health.  (FREEMAN)
