Village worker held for beating wife, daughter

CEBU, Philippines - An alleged drunk man was arrested Sunday evening in barangay Alang-alang, Mandaue City for beating his wife and daughter.

Hipolito Rosque, 41, a job order employee of the barangay hall of Alang-alang was arrested by men from the Centro police station following the filing of a complaint by his wife, Maribeth, 37, and his 16-year-old daughter yesterday morning.

The wife said Rosque came home drunk after drinking with a neighbor.

She said her husband became angry after she reprimanded him for his drinking, and then beat her and their daughter.

Maribeth sustained a wound on her left eye while their daughter sustained several bruises on her face.

Rosque was still drunk when arrested yesterday morning.

He is now detained at the Jagobiao police station. (FREEMAN)
