Company to help Talisay evaluate state of solid waste management

CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City council has granted a private firm to conduct a study on the state of the Solid Waste Management in the city. 

Councilor Bernard Joseph T. Odilao, chairman, Committee on Environment, In a proposed resolution, said the FDR-FDR – Integrated Resource Recovery Management Inc. (FDR-IRRMI) has been in the forefront in assessing the Solid Waste Management situation in the city of Naga, the municipality of Minglanilla and Carcar City in Cebu province. 

According to Odilao, the company headed by Fulgencio Paul D. Revalde has emphasized that his team of experts will not charge for the conduct of this study to help the city in garbage collection.

“The FDR-IRRMI has been given the go signal to operate as a private Materials Recovery Facility of all ecological wastes in the City of Naga, Cebu,” Odilao said. 

“It is imperative that proper garbage disposal must be implemented amongst the populace of the City of Talisay,” he said. (FREEMAN)
