Lapu-Lapu always inspects buildings

CEBU, Philippines - Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza yesterday said the City Engineering Office has been tasked to monitor public buildings, including school buildings.

She said school buildings before classes started in June were properly inspected to ensure the safety of students and teachers.

Radaza said city engineering personnel usually coordinates with school principals.

“Pagsugod gyud sa klase maoy atong giseguro nga luwas ang tanang mga edepisyo diha sa atong kabarangayan ug dili maproblema ang atong mga kabataan ingon man ang mga magtutudlo,” Radaza said.

The city mayor said the city engineering office makes recommendations when school buildings need immediate repair.
