Indian national gunned down

CEBU, Philippines – An Indian national, while having a drink with a cousin in one of the gasoline stations along the Cebu South Coastal Road in barangay Cansojong, Talisay City, was shot dead Tuesday evening by still unidentified men.

Bhupinder Singh, 36, of barangay Lipata, Minglanilla town, died before reaching the Talisay City District Hospital.

He took several bullets to the body.

The police said the gun used to kill the Indian was a caliber .45 pistol.

SPO1 Mike Espina and PO2 Stephen Sefuesca, who responded to the incident, said Bhupinder and cousin Avtar Singh, 24, were drinking when two unidentified men on a motorcycle approached Bhupinder and fired.

“Amo pang palapdan ang maong imbestigasyon kay naa mi nadawat nga report nga ang giingong nagsugo sa pagpapusil sa biktima usa usab ka Indian national,” Espina said.  – THE FREEMAN
