CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly sexually molesting a woman yesterday dawn in barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City.
Arrested was Raffy Baunsit, married, a resident of Zone Sibuyas, barangay Paknaan.
The complainant, a 27-year-old woman who resides in the neighborhood told police she was on her way home on foot at around 4 a.m. that day when Baunsit blocked her way, grabbed her, and then touched her private parts.
She said she broke free from his grasp and ran towards home.
Relatives had alleged Baunsit is a disturbed man but
Basak police station chief P Sr./Insp. Wilson Abot rejected the claim for the reason that Baunsit was coherent when answering questions.
Abot said the police will file charges against Baunsit for acts of lasciviousness.
The man is now detained at the Basak police station. - THE FREEMAN
