3 more join LP
CEBU, Philippines - The Liberal Party has strengthened its hold in the sixth district with the addition of three more members to the party with LP provincial chairman Junjun Davide administering the oath of office yesterday morning at the Norkis Clubhouse in Mandaue City.
PB Arleigh Sitoy’s daughter, lawyer Leighna Katrina Sitoy-Abarquez, who will vie for the mayoral post for Cordova town in the May 2013 election was the first to take oath, which was witnessed by Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, sixth district LP leaders Rep. Quisumbing, PB member Sitoy, PB member Thadeo Ouano, Mayor Jonas Cortes, and Mayor Teresita Alegado.
After Abarquez, barangay Cansaga captain Peter Cabillada and incumbent municipal councilor Brando Cuizon, both of Consolacion town, also took their oaths.
Mayor Alegado said both Cabillada and Cuizon complete her slate for councilors for her reelection next year.
Eighteen of the 21 barangay captains who are affiliated with her administration will be sworn into the LP in another mass oathtaking ceremony.
