Cansaga Bay Bridge reopens

CEBU, Philippines - The Cansaga Bay Bridge has reopened after it was closed for more than a month.

The opening of the bridge to motorists will decongest traffic at the national highway.

The provincial engineering office is undertaking a widening project of the other side of the bridge starting from Tayud, Consolacion town.

As a result, the bridge had to be closed.

Incidentally, a rerouting of traffic starts today from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in view of the “Pasigarbo sa Sugbo” festival.

The opening of the bridge is also timed for the coming road improvement project along U.N. Avenue and Plaridel Street.  - THE FREEMAN
