Talisay dad asks SP to gift elderly on their birthdays

CEBU, Philippines - Any senior citizen in Talisay City shall receive cash on his birthday from the city government if a proposed resolution that seeks the granting of P2,500 to the elderly on their birthdays is approved.

The proposed resolution is authored by Councilor Valeriano “Val” Ylanan. 

Ylanan said senior citizens are entitled to a more meaningful, productive life.

The city government has given senior citizens an allocation of medicines. 

“Senior citizens are treasures, need to be taken care of, and made to feel special,” he said, adding the city recognizes the important role of senior citizens in the society and are valued for their involvement for the development in the family, community and government progress.  (FREEMAN)
