AFP member arrested for pointing gun at Mandaue traffic enforcer
CEBU, Philippines - A member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, who was driving a motorcycle, was arrested for allegedly aiming his service gun at a traffic enforcer who had signaled to him to stop for not wearing a helmet in barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City.
Richard Taclapan, 24, of barangay Cabanclan, Mandaue City, who is assigned in Agusan del Norte, was arrested by the mobile patrol group after traffic enforcer Salvador Comedia, accused him of aiming his gun at him.
Taclapan’s passengers, his brother Richys Lloyd Taclapan, 21, and Rodel Lacsina, 25, all residents of barangay Cabancalan, were also arrested for violating the city ordinance No. 434 (drunkenness law).
The three men were brought to the Mandaue City hospital for a liquor test, wherein all of them tested positive.
They are now detained at the Subangdaku police station. (FREEMAN)
