Lapu-Lapu to get more policemen

CEBU, Philippines - The Police Regional Office-7 will soon send at least forty policemen to Lapu-Lapu City.

Lapu-Lapu City Police Chief Senior Superintendent Rey Lyndon Lawas said he learned about the reinforcement during a command conference at the Police Regional Office-7.

Lawas said Lapu-Lapu, being a lone congressional district and a highly-urbanized city, needs more policemen.

“Dako gayud kaayo ang atong paningkamot nga mahatagan gayud pagtagad ang problema sa kakulang sa mga polis sa atong dakbayan,” Lawas said.

With the new policemen in the city, Lawas said he will increase police visibility in the barangays.
