Seven caught unloading septic waste into drainage

CEBU, Philippines - Seven men were apprehended yesterday noon for unloading septic waste into an opening in the drainage system along Patalinghug Ave. in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.

A Solid Waste Management supervisor Helen Mandal saw how the crew members of a septic tank truck drained the waste from the truck.

She took pictures and called Task Force Kalikasan (TFK) for assistance.

The driver, crew members, and the truck were taken to the Solid Waste Management office.

 Engr. Roderico Tagaan, of the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) informed the owner of the septic tank truck that his office will file a case against him for the violation of the provisions of the solid waste management act. — (FREEMAN)
