Man "shoots" own brother

CEBU, Philippines - A man yesterday allegedly shot and wounded his younger brother in Bentain Compound, barangay Bulacao, Talisay City, at around 6 p.m. yesterday after an alleged misunderstanding over an unpaid debt.

The victim was identified as Billy Go, single, while his brother, Karby, 26, married, of Mansueto Subdivision, Bulacao, has been identified as the gun wielder.

Both are sons of former barangay councilor Emil Go.

The police said Karby had reminded his brother about his unpaid debt.

He then left and returned shortly after this time allegedly armed with a gun after Billy reportedly did not pay him.

Karby thrust at his brother with the gun who in turn made an effort to deflect it.

The gun went off and Billy was hit on the left arm.

Billy was taken to the Talisay District Hospital while his brother allegedly fled. – (FREEMAN)
