CEBU, Philippines - At least 250 children from indigent families of San Fernando town in southern Cebu were circumcised for free yesterday through the courtesy Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas in his capacity as First Congressional District Consultant on Children and Youth Affairs and former Mayor Lakambini “Neneth” Reluya.

“Bisa’g wa ta sa serbisyo, kada tuig gyud ta mohatag og free tuli sa mga bata. Hopefully, makatabang na nila. And while waiting, ang mga ginikanan pwede sa maka-avail og free eye checkup and the free eyeglasses through the Mabuhay Foundation,” said Reluya in an interview.

The former mayor was also assisted by Panadtaran barangay officials led by its chairman Nonoy Reluya.

Gullas, through his grandfather’s Priority Development Assistance Fund, also gave free medicine and vitamins to the children.

The 27-year-old Gullas is the oldest grandson of veteran Congressman Eduardo Gullas, who is on his third and final term.

A team from the 78th Infantry Brigade, Talisay City Health Office headed by Dr. Lino Alanzado, Perpetual Succor Hospital led by Dr. Accel Scalit, and the barangay health workers of Panadtaran also helped in the activity.
