Houseboy, 19, hangs self after tiff with girlfriend, 39

CEBU, Philippines - A 19-year-old houseboy killed himself yesterday after getting into an argument with his 39-year-old girlfriend.

Ricardo Pria, single, of Matalom, Leyte worked for Assistant city engineer Henry Ceniza who resides at M. L. Quezon Street in barangay Casuntingan, Mandaue City.

Pria’s body was discovered by Ceniza himself at around 6 a.m. yesterday morning hanging by the neck inside a shanty which served as the servant’s quarter.

Investigator PO3 Gilbert dela Cruz said a text message from Pria’s phone would show he committed suicide.

Dela Cruz said the girlfriend is separated from her husband.

Pria’s message he sent to her states: “Aw, mangluod gani ko migs, maghikog dyud ko dire ako nang tinud-on, promise.”

Ceniza told police Pria was a loner.

The girlfriend told police Pria would often threaten to commit suicide every time they quarreled.

She said Pria often got jealous whenever she went jogging at I.T Park.  (FREEMAN)
