One of Naga's most wanted men arrested

CEBU, Philippines - One of the most wanted persons in Naga City was arrested by police near his home in barangay Inoburan, Naga City after getting shot in the leg.

Edwin Sayaboc, 37, of barangay Cabungahan was taken to the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

PO3 Francisco Codiñera, Naga City police investigator, said the police acted after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen.

Codiñera said Sayaboc had seen the policemen approaching and attempted to pull out a .38 cal. revolver from his waist.

But before Sayaboc could whip it out, PO2 Orlan Condes fired at him, hitting him on the right leg.

Sayaboc was the suspect in a shooting incident in 2007, Codiñera said.

Codiñera said Sayaboc hid in Mindanao and had just returned to Naga City recently.  (FREEMAN)
