CEBU, Philippines - Task Force Kalikasan of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office seized last Friday afternoon an estimated P100,000 worth of Helmet shells, or “budyong” in local parlance, in sitio Malingin, barangay Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City.
SPO1 Jomar Ybañez, head of the task force, said each of the18 sacks seized contained 25 pieces of “budyong.”
He said one shell would fetch for P200 to P300.
Ybañez said his group quickly went to sitio Malingin when it received information about a shipment of shells.
The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) has taken custody of the shells since no one has come forward to claim them.
