Lawas is fine with Radaza

CEBU, Philippines - Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza said she is satisfied with the performance of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office acting city director P S/Supt. Rey Lyndon Lawas but cannot decide whether she wants him to remain in the position permanently.

Lawas has been on the job for more than a month now.

Radaza said the Philippine National Police has yet to provide her a list of names of candidates for the post.

For now, the mayor only has praises for Lawas who works well with station commanders.

Lawas, who is also the current Police Regional Intelligence Division chief, served as acting city director of the LLCPO after former LLCPO director PS/SUPT. Anthony Obenza was relieved of his post last February. - THE FREEMAN
