Compostela to focus on repair of bad roads

CEBU, Philippines - The damage caused by typhoons last year on roads may be the source of irritation for residents in Compostela town but Mayor Joel Quiño has assured that dilapidated barangay and municipal roads will be taken care of as soon as possible.

“Gumikan kay dugay man kita nga nakalingkod diha sa munisipyo mao nga wala gayud mahatagi sa igong pagtagad kining maong mga problema,” Quiño said.

He said the Sangguniang Bayan has agreed to prioritize repairs.

Farmers, for instance, find it difficult to bring their agricultural produce to markets, Quiño said.  - THE FREEMAN
