No one home when house catches fire

CEBU, Philippines - Everyone was out when fire struck the house of Mariano Gabiana at C. Ouano Street in barangay Looc, Mandaue City yesterday morning.

SFO1 Arnold Lao said the fire started from one of the rooms and spread to Emilio Pesons’ house.

Lao said the cause has yet to be determined since Gabiana was taken by his children to a hospital at dawn that same day.

His daughter was, at the time of the fire, at work in another hospital.

Damage to property was placed at P40,000. - THE FREEMAN
