Quisumbing's scholars receive educational aid

CEBU, Philippines - A total of 759 scholars of the Iskolar Quisumbing (IQ PROGRAM) of sixth district Rep. Gabriel Luis Quisumbing received their educational assistance from his office yesterday.

Quisumbing’s IQ program is being carried out in coordination with the DSWD Regional Office.

Jessie Perez, Quisumbing’s district manager, said around 1,550 are enrolled in Quisumbing’s IQ Program.

The second batch of scholars will received their P2,500 education assistance in the middle of May.

The scholars come from barangays in the sixth district which is comprised of Mandaue City, and Consolacion and Cordova towns.  Their financial assistance comes every end of every semester.

Quisumbing, assisted by DSWD regional director Maria Evelyn Macapobre, handed the money to the scholars.  (FREEMAN)
