Neighbors put out fire

CEBU, Philippines - The Bayanihan spirit of the residents at Zone Pechay in barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City prevented the spread of a fire Thursday evening.

Neighbors and the barangay’s fire brigade took turns in splashing water at Jurilyn Loayan’s house so that only small portion of the house was damaged.

The fire allegedly was triggered by faulty electric wiring.

Damage to property was placed at P50,000. (FREEMAN)
