Rob suspect arrested after 3 years in hiding

CEBU, Philippines - The Investigative and Detective Management Bureau arrested Thursday in barangay Dawis, Talisay City a robbery suspect who had been on the run for three years.

Chuckie Layco, single, of legal age, and a member of “Pate Robbery Gang” is number six in the Mandaue City Police Office most wanted list.

IDMB chief PC/Insp. Michael Anthony Bastes said Layco has a pending warrant of arrest for a robbery case and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG-7) had recommend P100,000 as reward for his arrest.

Bastes said Layco is a member of the Pate gang whose leader, Teresito Ligan alias “Pate,” is currently on bail for a robbery case.

Layco’s other companions who were arrested last month for robbery include Ricky Villamor, Arnel Porras, Ponciano Villamor, and Joel Catibay.  (FREEMAN)
