Woman loses phone to notorious pickpocket

CEBU, Philippines - A 22-year-old woman lost a touch screen cellular phone to a pickpocket who she later identified through the rogues’ gallery.

Jenny Cabier, 22, single, of barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City was on a jeepney Monday morning when a man sat down beside her. The man dropped a ten-peso coin, slapped her leg, and then got off the vehicle.

A passenger who sat across her said the man had picked her phone.

Cabier got off the vehicle too and shouted for help.

Bystanders who were in the vicinity were of no help.

The pickpocket, who the police identified as Al Diaz, had already escaped. — (FREEMAN)
