CEBU, Philippines - An unidentified male person was found dead in a sack along a street in sitio Nonoc, barangay Tabunok, Talisay City at 5:51 a.m. yesterday.
Police said they received a call from Tabunok barangay tanod Roderick Abellana informing them about a dead man.
Homicide found the man’s ankles bound by a nylon rope. The blood on the man’s head was fresh.
A seat commonly found in trisikads was also found in the sack, believed to have been used to support the man’s body.
The man, 5’2” in height, of medium build, and in his early twenties, wore a black and white shirt, black short pants, while his hair was dyed yellow.
PO1 Robert Escovia of the Homicide Section said the body could have been killed elsewhere but dumped in Talisay.
Police brought the body to the Talisay District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by physicians.
It was later taken to the St. Francis Funeral Homes in barangay Bulacao for autopsy.
