Lapu- Lapu police has new chief

CEBU, Philippines - The new officer-in-charge of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office assumed his post yesterday after a simple turnover ceremony at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.

P S/Sr. Supt.Anthony Obenza turned over his responsibilities as city director to P Sr./Supt. Rey Lyndon Lawas.   

The turnover ceremony was presided by Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO) P S/Supt. Louie Oppus.

 Lawas is also the concurrent chief of the Regional Intelligence Division of the Police Regional Office-7.

Lawas immediately made a courtesy call to Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza.

The mayor asked him to minimize the city’s crime.

She also told him to strictly impose the city’s environment laws.  (FREEMAN)
