Four arrested for nubain possession

CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested four persons for possession and abuse of the regulated drug nubain Monday evening in barangay Tawason in Mandaue City.

Canduman police chief P/Insp. Luis Alama and his men had gone to Oscar Tuazon’s home to serve him two warrants of arrest that evening for alleged use, sale, and possession of nubain.

The police found a woman and two other men in the act of injecting nubain into their veins.

Aside from Tuazon, also arrested were his brother, Alvin, Pedro Borbajo, and Giselle Aton, 37, of Consolacion town.

Seized from them were three empty vials of nubain, five syringes containing nubain, and three empty syringes. 

He also said that the suspect has also been involved in the selling of nubain.  (FREEMAN)
