CEBU, Philippines - A 58-year-old store and videoke shop owner was badly wounded after he was stabbed by a customer who accused of him interrupting his singing last Friday night.
The videoke shop is located in Barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City.
Andres Escultor, married, a resident of sitio Matab-ang in barangay Buaya was rushed to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital after he sustained a stab wound on his back. The suspect, Romel Garbo, stabbed Escultor with a knife.
Initial investigation revealed that Garbo, together with his wife and friends, were drinking at the videoke shop. While Garbo was singing, Escultor reportedly noticed that something had gone wrong with the sound system, prompting him to fix it. While doing so, however, the music video got interrupted and this irked Garbo.
A heated argument between Garbo and Escultor followed and ended with Garbo stabbing the victim. Garbo then fled on foot.
Investigation is ongoing for Garbo’s arrest.
