Gang members shot dead
CEBU, Philippines - Two members of the gang “Crips” died on the spot after getting shot by an unidentified man Sunday evening in barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.
Ceslie Jade Cases, 18, single, a resident of sitio Kambyuhan of barangay Marigondon and Denmark Espinosa, 20, of sitio Likoan of the same barangay, and members of the Crips gang were dead when police arrived in the crime scene.
Cases sustained a wound on his chest while Espinosa was shot in the head, with the bullet exiting through his left ear.
The police said residents saw Cases and Espinosa attacked a man who resides in sitio Hikasig of barangay Marigondon.
A man name Warren Espinosa, 24, married, was having dinner in his home when Cases and Denmark entered his house and stabbed him without any provocation, hitting him in the back and left arm.
Police said neighbors heard gunfire but could not identify the man who shot Cases and Denmark.
Denmark fell to the ground still holding a knife while Cases managed to run and ask for help from neighbors.
Warren, Cases, and Denmark were taken to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital.
Cases and Denmark were declared dead upon arrival and Warren was later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City.
Police found one kitchen knife and one fun knife in the crime scene. (FREEMAN)
