Robbery suspect arrested

CEBU, Philippines - A man with an infant child in his arms was served an arrest warrant for robbery by policemen from the Opao police station in barangay Centro, Mandaue City yesterday afternoon.

Guillermo Besabella, Jr., 34, married, and a resident of barangay Basak in Mandaue City, was arrested by policemen on patrol at around 1:30 p.m. yesterday.

Police chief P/Insp. Wilson Abot said the policemen had the arrest warrant for Besabella when they chanced upon him.

The warrant was issued by Judge James Ramon Himalalaon of the RTC branch 55 in Mandaue City for a robbery case.

Besabella is now detained at the Opao police station pending the filing of charges against him. - THE FREEMAN
