Woman charged with direct assault

CEBU, Philippines - A woman who attacked policemen in a bid to frustrate the arrest of her husband for indiscriminate firing landed in jail, too. 

Rizaly Singson is now detained with live-in partner Bobby Godinez, 35, both of sitio Bayabas in barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.

Godinez, previously in jail for robbery, was released only last December 20.

Police quickly responded to an alarm received at around 10 p.m. last Friday about the presence of an armed man in Zone Sunlot in barangay Calawisan.

Godinez faces a frustrated homicide case while his live-in partner will be charged with direct assault and obstruction of justice.
