Consolacion sends money to CDO, Iligan

CEBU, Philippines - The municipal government of Consolacion  has formally turned over financial assistance to the cities of Iligan and Cagayan De Oro after getting whipped by typhoon Sendong.

Aside from the P100 thousand financial assistance to each local government units, the municipal government sent a ten footer van filled with used clothing, food, and other things donated by businessmen and residents in Liloan.

Mayor Teresa Alegado failed to attend the formal turnover of the financial assistance and the relief goods, but she was represented by Municipal Social Welfare Officer Flor Bagasbas and Municipal Agriculture Officer Evangeline Puao.

The financial assistance was received by Mayor Lawrence Cruz of Iligan City and Mayor Vicente Emano of Cagayan De Oro City.

Both Cruz and Emano expressed gratitude to municipal officials of Consolacion.
