DPWH to work out town's flood woes

CEBU, Philippines - A ranking official of the Department of Public Works and Highways has assured Consolacion town that the drainage problem of the town would soon be resolved.

DPWH Sixth District Office Head Santiago Suico, Jr. in his letter addressed to Vice Mayor Aurelio Damole said there is on-going project being implemented at the Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf road in Consolacion town area.

Suico said the on-going construction of drainage, manholes, curbs and gutter and concrete sidewalk at the Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf road has a budget of P18 million which comes from the Priority Development Assistance Fund of  Sixth District Congressman Gabriel Luigi Quisumbing.

According to Quisumbing, the completion of the project will address the problem of flooding in the town.  (FREEMAN)
