CEBU, Philippines - The Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority will put up three help desks at the domestic departure and arrival areas starting today.
MCIAA general manager Nigel Paul Villarete said the desks are intended to assist passengers, answer inquiries, and serve as the DOTC Action Center.
These will be manned by personnel from the Public Affairs Office, Airport Police Division, and the Medical Division.
For the duration of the help desks, chance and or stranded passengers will be allowed to stay inside the departure area up to the check-in counter as a means of minimizing their inconvenience.
Villarete said the airport police will continue the standard procedure of distributing taxi complaint slips to cab passengers.
Due to the heightened alert status, issuance of identification cards/passes are suspended.
In the event of a shortage in taxi cabs and cars for hire, the MCIAA will field buses, he said.
