CEBU, Philippines - The much awaited "Horror Booth" in Mandaue City finally opened to the public yesterday.
"Horror," on its fifth year now, will remain open until November 2.
Forty-two members of Manpride, an organization of talented third sex in the city who will act out tiyanaks, zombies, draculas, white ladies, and aswangs, guarantee to give patrons a frightful experience.
Mayor Jonas Cortes' wife, Sarah, who heads the Mandaue City Council for the Protection of Children, said each of the three booths charges P20.
Mrs. Cortes said 25,000 tickets have been printed.
Both the Kaabag Foundation and the Council for the Protection of Children organized this event.
The proceeds from the booths will be spent for the Christmas party of 650 indigent children from the 27 barangays of the city and some children of the Muslim community in barangay Mantuyong.
After the Christmas party, the children will take home some goodies for their Noche Buena. (FREEMAN)
